Trustee Recruitment
We are looking for at least two new trustees to join our friendly, committed board. As a trustee, you will help guide our strategic direction, ensure our financial sustainability, and make sure we stay true to our core values.
We welcome applications from all backgrounds and experience levels. You do not need prior board experience — we value fresh perspectives, good judgement, and enthusiasm just as much as formal expertise, and we will support you as a new trustee to understand the role.
Equally, we would love to hear from people with relevant sector experience, for example in food/hospitality or the wider charity sector, who can bring specific knowledge to our strategic discussions.
What You Will Do
Attend approximately four to six board meetings per year held in person at Laurence’s Larder or online.
Read briefing papers and prepare for meetings. Be prepared to contribute to discussions in board meetings.
Use your unique background and perspective to support and challenge our team constructively.
Help spread the word about our work in the local community and in any networks you may have.
Help at fundraising events and volunteer occasionally at the Laurence’s Larder.
What We Offer
The chance to make a real, hands-on difference to an important local cause.
The opportunity to be part of an encouraging and open-minded team
A supportive induction process and ongoing training opportunities.
Reimbursement of reasonable out-of-pocket travel expenses.
If you would like to have an informal, no-pressure chat about the roles please contact our chair louisa@laurenceslarder.org.uk.
