How It Works

Every Monday we open our doors to welcome you to our Community Art Café where we have free tea, coffee and cake before serving a light lunch. We have jigsaw puzzles and board games available all day to play with friends or come along and meet new people. It’s a nice quiet space to read or study, and there is WiFi available.

You can also join our arts and crafts team to learn a new skill or practise an existing one! From knitting and origami to felting and drawing, come along and make something to take home with you.

From 12.00pm - 2.00pm our clothes bank is open, and everyone is able to take two items of clothing free of charge.

It’s also a great alternative if you occasionally work from your neighbourhood cafe - instead join your local community and donate the price of the latte you’d normally buy!

No, Laurence’s Larder is strictly non-referral (open to everyone) and everything we do is free.
Of course! Children are welcome at Laurence’s Larder, when we’re serving lunch we just ask to keep the corridors clear. However, we are not a creche and we ask you to stay with your children at all times.
As our lunches are made from donated ingredients, we can’t always be sure ahead of time what our menu will be. Please speak to one of our friendly volunteers on the day to check any dietary requirements.
We open at 10:30am for tea and coffee, we serve a light lunch from 12:00-2:00pm, and we start our arts and crafts activities at 2:00pm. We close at 4:00pm on Mondays.
No, we supply a variety of supplies.
