We can only serve our community thanks to your regular donations

What we can accept

You can donate anytime we are open - Mon 10:30am-4:00pm, Wed 10:00am-2:00pm and Thurs 10:00am-5:00pm. Please see the Questions section below for more info.

Food

We accept a variety of shelf-stable foods. This is important as it allows us time to process donations without the risk of fresh ingredients spoiling.

We accept:

  • Tinned and ambient produce
  • UHT milk
  • Baked beans
  • Vegetarian soup
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Tinned tuna and sardines
  • Rice and pasta
  • Tea and coffee
  • Biscuits
  • Pet food

We can NOT accept:

  1. Open packets of food
  2. Fresh fruit and vegetables
  3. Fresh meat
  4. Expired food

Toiletries

Toiletries can be hard to afford for our guests, so donations of the following items are a real help.

Please donate:

  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Toothbrushes and toothpaste
  • Shower gel
  • Razors
  • Pads and pantyliners
  • Deodorant

We can NOT accept:

  1. Open toiletries
  2. Expired products
  3. Damaged items

Clothing

Our clothes bank distributes your clean, unwanted clothes to people in need. If you haven’t worn it in a while, would it be better off being used by someone else?

Items required:

  • Clean men’s and women’s clothes in good condition
  • Warm clothes are particularly welcome (jumpers, coats, scarves, gloves, hats)
  • Pyjamas
  • Accessories such as shoes, belts, bags and sunglasses

We can NOT accept:

  1. Bedding
  2. Towels
  3. Children’s and baby clothes
  4. Dirty, damaged or worn-out clothing

Sorry, we can’t accept…

There are some items we are unable to accept for a variety of reasons. Please do not donate any of the following items as these will either be wasted or can cause problems in our day-to-day operations.

  2. Electrical appliances
  3. Toys
  4. Furniture

  • Donations are accepted on Mondays 10:30am-4:00pm, Wednesdays 10:00am-2:00pm and Thursdays 10:00am-5:00pm. If you have a large amount to donate, please email ahead at: info@laurenceslarder.org.uk

  • We are based in Christ Church Brondesbury, Christchurch Avenue, London, NW6 7BJ. Please come in through the small car park on Christchurch Avenue and leave your donations with us inside.

    Please do not leave donations outside.

  • All our food, toiletries and clothes are given to local people who need them. We run on a non-referral basis as we believe removing barriers to those who need our help is the best way to reach as many people as we can.

  • It’s best to speak to us ahead of donating larger donations like this. Please email info@laurenceslarder.org.uk and we will work out if we can put your leftovers to good use.

  • We do not have a large demand for these items, so your donations would be better used at another donation centre. See Little Village for more details of where you can try.

Our Stories

  • “I currently pick up donated items from Sainsburys on Wednesdays and pack bags for our guests, once I have delivered these back to the Larder. I occasionally help in the kitchen too, which I really enjoy. I love my time at the Larder, and working with the other volunteers who are all great people.
