Friends of Laurence's Larder Supper Club - Hosted by Dan Martensen

We'd like to invite you to the first Friends of Laurence's Larder Supper Club of 2026, on Friday 24th April from 7.00pm.

Dan founded It’s Bagels during the pandemic, missing New York and the comfort of its bagels, and driven by a belief in the power of food to bring people together and build community — the same ethos that underpins Laurence’s Larder. We’re honoured to have the renowned photographer, bagel impresario and dedicated home-cook host our next Supper Club.

Guests will be welcomed with a <insert drink> before sitting down for a three-course menu inspired by bagels and their classic accompaniments, with contributions from local friends and favourites including Don’t Tell Dad, Secret Smokehouse Salmon and Bath Cheeses. The meal will be served in our transformed Larder space, usually home to our weekly community lunches, but for this evening reimagined as a candlelit dining room. Wine and beer will be available to purchase.

Laurence’s Larder is a local charity providing essential food parcels, hot sit-down meals, a clothes bank, social activities and access to a wide range of support services. With no referral policy, we are open to all, bringing people together while tackling both loneliness and food poverty.

Tickets are limited and always sell out quickly — as Dan puts it, there’s nothing more gratifying than feeding friends, or making new ones through food.
